MEET THE OKIE'S ABROAD

Howdy! Our name’s are Wyatt and Madeline. We are an Oklahoman couple who recently started a blog that focuses on budget traveling, landmark history, experiencing travel without a guide, hiking, tasting local cuisine, avoiding scams, traveling mishaps, and more.

We quit our jobs in America and booked a one way ticket to Japan a little over 1 year ago and have been on the road ever since. Our travels have brought us to the hot swamps of southeast Asia where we used scooters and motorcycles as transportation, to the cold mountains of New Zealand where we used a van as shelter. We lived in the Australian Outback working on a cattle station to supplement our income so we could continue traveling. We have been to a total of 14 countries since we left.

UPCOMING PROJECTS

We are going to be traveling to Croatia soon to housesit. Our estimated time will be around 2 months.

After Croatia we will more than likely be flying to Tanzania to see an African wild safari!

We are hoping to see the Northern Lights sometime in the year 2025! Although this is not set in stone as our traveling mostly consists of us winging it.
